Parents Antipas & Lucy Brigham
A graduate of Hamilton College, he learned law but preferred to teach school. He was a participant in the Jerry Rescue, helping to break Jerry out of custody, for which he spent two days in jail. He was acquitted by a hung jury.
He was a teacher in the Syracuse City schools for 25 years as well as a principal at Seymour, Prescott and Salina schools. He outlawed corporal punishment in his buildings.

Funeral from the late residence, 915 Montgomery street, Sunday at 3 p.m. Friends are invited to the house. Burial private at Oakwood Cemetery.
