Cyntha Benjamin was born in Canada in 1812. She was married at the age of 15 to Elyah Benjamin.
In 1852 they moved to Illinois where they resided for 13 years, then moved to Minnesota where Mr. Benjamin died in 1882. In 1884 she came to Nebraska, where she has since lived.
Mrs. Benjamin died September 6th 1896, aged 83 years, 8 months and 20 days.
Services were conducted by Rev. J. L. Patterson.
The remains were laid at rest in the Rose Creek cemetery.
