Born in Easley, Mr. Stewart was the son of the late Richard W. "Slim" and Ellen Louise Gosnell Stewart. He retired from Ohio Gear in Liberty after twenty-five years of service and was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Stewart was a devoted Harley Rider and had served in the National Guard.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheree and Mitchell Ramey, and Tammy and Trey Tucker, all of Easley; three sisters, Sandra S. Leatherwood and Linda Stewart, both of Easley, and Louise Gullette, of Greer; and four grandchildren, Corey and Logan Ramey, and Laine and Leah Tucker.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Park, with the Rev. Lawrence Keever officiating.
Visitation will be at the graveside immediately following the service.

The family is at the home of a sister: Sandra and Hershel Leatherwood, 112 Lockwood Ave., Easley; where they welcome friends to stop by and visit.
