A tanner by trade, Seth Chase was colonel of a regiment, supervisor of the town of Worcester at different times, a member of the legislature in 1819 and 1820, and judge of the courts. He served as Otsego County Sheriff in 1820.

Gravesite Details

Gravestones and most interments were removed from the Congregational Church Cemetery between 1865 and 1915 to the Maple Grove Cemetery, where the gravestones stand in rows in the cemetery's northwest corner
