Dorothy was born Oct. 22, 1929, in Butte to Mike and Ann Flanick Baker, the youngest of three daughters. Dorothy resided in Butte with her parents until their deaths and then with her aunt Mary S. Flanick, until her death in 1985. Dorothy relocated to the Big Sandy Medical Center in 1986, where she felt at home. She enjoyed attending the Big Sandy Activity Center. Dorothy was a devout member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She was musically inclined and enjoyed listening to music. She was very outgoing and had a smile and kind word for everyone. Dorothy had an extended family and was dearly loved by them. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her aunts, Rose Frankovich, Butte, who was also her legal guardian and whom Dorothy called her second mother, Sister Virginia Flanick, Leavenworth, Kan., and Lola Flanick, Butte; many cousins, including Mike and Cindy Frankovich, Butte, Mary Anne Frank, Seattle, Mary Jean and Joe Pelletier and family, Jule Ann and Jim Winston and family, Barbara and Tom Holter and family, Matthew and Peggy Flanick and family, Butte, Bill and Sherry Flanick and family, Salt Lake City; brother-in-law, Joe Boumans and family, Valier.

Her parents, sisters Eleanor Baker and Florence Baker Boumans, many aunts, uncles and cousins preceded Dorothy in death.
