John W. McCauley was the husband of Anna M Raddigan or Rattigan (1853-1890) and married Abigail "Abbie" McCauley (1855-1930) in 1893. With his first wife, he had at least nine children, two of which were stillborn. By Anna, he fathered Cordelia Anne (1882-1939) and Charlotte M "Lottie" McCauley. By his second wife Abbie, he had one daughter, Grace E. McCauley. He is buried in a family plot with his wife, eldest daughter Cordelia, her husband Thomas Walton Towson, and Thomas and Cordelia's son John.
