Bill is survived by his parents, Beryl and Martha Nettles of Starke.
Bill has two brothers, Walter Nettles of Daytona Beach and Allan Nettles of Starke. Fishing is what Bill loved, this is what he did. Bill worked as a means to fish, and just last year he studied and got his Captain's license, one of his life long dreams.

Fisherman's Prayer

God, grant that I may
love to fish until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's safe
landing net,
I'm peacefully asleep,
that in His mercy I be judged
as big enough to keep.

God give me the strength to catch a fish,
So big that even I,
When telling of it afterwards,
Have no need to lie.
