BARRE TOWN - James D. Murray, 93, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Birchwood Terrace Health Care in Burlington.

The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St. in Barre, is in charge of the arrangements.

Parents - James A. and Charlotte (Fraser) Murray

Graduated - Spaulding High School graduate in 1936.

Married Helen Davis Induni in St. Albans. She died April 27, 1987.

Employed as a carpenter for many years, first for Lunde Construction in Barre and later was self-employed. He retired in 1982.

Veteran- U.S. Navy service, World War II. Served aboard ship in the Mediterranean theater and was discharged as a boatswain's mate second class.

Survived by a former wife, Judith Murray; a daughter; a son and his wife; a stepson and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his wife Helen, he was predeceased by his stepson Leon Induni; a brother, Burton "Wes" Murray; and sister Elizabeth McTigue.

Interment- Maplewood Cemetery in Barre Town.
