Elmer Arner Killed.
Elmer Arner, a well known railroader of this place, was killed at South Plainfield Junction during Wednesday night. He is supposed to have fallen off the top of a car or was probably standing on the bumpers and in some unaccountable manner was thrown to the tracks. His head was almost severed. Arner was a flagman on a freight train of which his brother Charles Arner is conductor. His remains were brought home on Thursday noon and prepared for burial at Heller's undertaking establishment. The unfortunate young man was the youngest son of John Arner, one of our oldest citizens and was aged about twenty-seven years. He is survived by a three year old son. His wife died about eighteen months ago. He was engaged to be married to Miss Lizzie Nothstein on the 18th inst. The following brothers survive: Oscar, John, Douglas, Daniel, Bert, Charles and William, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Moser, of Pittston
