He was born on March 23, 1926, in Celina, Tennessee to Bert and Ellie (Smith) Pitcock.


Charles retired in 1995 from the former Guide Lamp division of General Motors in Anderson.


He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Lapel American Legion Post 212.


He is survived by his wife, Velma J. (White) Pitcock; one son, Jerry (wife, Nancy) Pitcock of Anderson; one brother, Wade Pitcock of Anderson; two grandsons, Joshua (wife, Katie) Pitcock of Washington D. C., and Justin (Roberta) Pitcock of Indianapolis; and one great-grandson, Madden Pitcock.


He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Lester Pitcock, Carl Pitcock, Jay Pitcock, and Arron Pitcock; three sisters, Mary Richmond, Val Ellis, and Alyne Adams.


Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
