JAMES EDWARD POOLE, JR., 61, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Monday, April 16, 2012. Graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road.

He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a 1968 graduate of Matthew W. Gilbert High School. Mr. Poole was also a retired Master Sergeant of the U. S. Army, a 2004 graduate of Troy University, a Modern Free Mason, a member of Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity, employed with Dothan City Schools, and a member of Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church where he sang in the Male Chorus.

He was predeceased by his father, James E. Poole, Sr., and a daughter, Katrina Poole. Survivors include: his wife, Wilhelmenia Poole of Dothan, AL; three children, Kevin Poole (Serena) of Jacksonville, FL, Daniella Suttle of Mobile, AL, Danny Suttle of Dothan, AL; four grandchildren, Latifa, Jamal Poole, William McDonald, Ayana Brownlee; his mother, Mrs. Leola Poole of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Rev. Victoria Smith (Clifford) of Jacksonville, FL; five brothers, Rev. Juan Poole (Gail) of Dallas, TX, Rev. Larry Poole, Kalvin Poole (Julia), Karlton Poole, Antonio Poole (Teresa), all of Jacksonville, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
