∼J. M. McDonald, Attorney Dies In Nashville Hospital
John Marshall McDonald, 68, Nashville attorney, of 3320 Fairmont Drive, died at St. Thomas Hospital at 2:25 a.m. yesterday after an illness of a month.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., today at M. S. Combs Funeral home. Dr. Roger T. Nooe, pastor of Vine Street Christian church, will officiate, and burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Native of Lafayette, Tenn., Mr. McDonald was reared there and educated at Lafayette college. He received his degree in law at Cumberland University in Lebanon.
He practiced in both Lafayette and Nashville courts, maintaining his office in Lafayette.
Mr. McDonald was a member of the Christian church. He was also a Mason and member of the Lions Club and Delta Sigma Phi, legal fraternity.
He was married in 1904 to the former Edna Gray Bryant, of Abington, Va. She survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ray K. Daniel, of Winter Park, Fla., three sons, John M. McDonald Jr., Jacksonville, Fla.: Phillip McDonald, Atlanta, Ga.; and Dan McDonald, Nashville; a sister Mrs. Joseph E. Thompson, of Nashville and three granddaughters.
Active pall bearers will be H. V. Hopton, Paul E. Kirby, William R. Allen, Fred Selley, Tom Polk, and James W. Derryberry.
Honarary pallbearers will be Fred Gregory, Dennis White, Judge G. C. West, Edgar Bratton, C. R. Jent and Roscoe Bratton, all of Lafayette. J. Ridley Mitchell, Washington D. C., Joe Faust, McAllen, Texas; Chancellor Pat Officer, Livingston, Tenn.; Cyril Wyche, Dallas, Texas, B. M. Wakefield, Jackson, Miss., John Mitchell, Cookeville, Tenn., and Dr. George W.
