Joseph Shields, aged 45 years,of Butler,[Butler County,Pennsylvania],died at the Cresson Sanitarium Wednesday afternoon of Tuberculosis.
He was a former resident of Punxsutawney,[Jefferson County,Pa.],having been employed by the B., R.& P. Railway Company about 10 years.
He was survived by two daughters:
Mrs. Thomas Brandon of Columbus,Ohio;
and Mrs. John Dalton of Pittsburgh,Pa.
And by two sons:
Denny Shields;
and Kenneth Shields,both of Butler.
Also by three brothers:
D.B.Shields of Punxsutawney;
William Shields of Butler;
Dell Shields of Smethport;
and two sisters:
Mrs. T.W. Elbell of Rossiter;
and Mrs. Anna George of Punxsutawney.
Funeral services were held at the Pine Grove Church and burial was made in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
