Mrs. Anne S. Abbott Dies
Mrs. Anne S. Abbott of 113 Fordham Road died yesterday at a local nursing home.
She was the widow of Leon H. Abbott, former county welfare commissioner. She was a member of the Liederkranz Auxiliary and of the former University and the St. Joseph’s hospital auxiliaries.
She is survived by a son, James H. Abbott; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Building Fund.
