William Jack Beach, Sr., of Charleston, passed away peacefully in Hendersonville, NC on April 19, 2012.

He was born October 15, 1917, a son of Arthur Beach and Guessie Beach. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Poston Beach who he shared 53 years of happiness. He was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia McTeer Beach.

Mr. Beach enjoyed many successful years as a salesman for Thomas & Howard and later Wetterau Foods.

He was a member of James Island Baptist Church. His favorite saying was, "I lived a good life."

Mr. Beach leaves behind his daughters, Jenelle Grooms (Bobby), Elaine Freeman (Alan); a son, William Jack Beach, Jr. (Jodie); a sister, Loraine Hanckel (Frank); grandchildren, Shawn Lyerly, Melissa Shearer, Katie Nemeth (Chris), Robert Grooms, Jr. (Casey) and Dr. Matt Freeman; and six great-grandchildren. His granddaughter, Jenifer Grooms, predeceased him into heaven.

The family will receive friends, April 25, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel. A graveside funeral service will be held, April 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in Live Oak Memorial Gardens with Reverend Tom Brown officiating.
