Uncle Frank married Mildred Hill on October 23, 1936. They lived in Independence, Mo. until he retired from Allis Chalmers, then they moved to Nevada, Mo.

Benjamin Franklin Hicks, 65, Nevada, died Nov. 7 at Nevada City Hospital.

Born April 16, 1916, near Schell City, he was the son of John Franklin and Ellen Halsey Hicks. He was married Oct. 23, 1935, at Independence to Mildred Irene Hill. He was a world War II veteran. He was a member of the Glenwood Park United Methodist Church of Independence.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred, of the home; a brother, Wade Hicks, Kansas city, and a sister, Evelyn Lukenbill, Nevada.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Schell City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lloyd McKerney officiating. Interment will be in Green Mound Cemetery, Harwood.

The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. today at Lewis and Son Funeral Home, Schell City.
