Sarah C. Cherry, 93, of 219 20th Street NE, wife of the late Edward D. Cherry, died Wednesday at a Cedar Rapids care center following a long illness. She had been a Cedar Rapids resident most of her life.
Born June 8, 1884, at Walker, she was married to Mr. Cherry Feb. 26, 1905, at Holstein. Mrs. Cherry was a member of the First Christian Church and Star of Maine Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving is a daughter, Thelma Forsyth, Cedar Rapids.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Memories by the Rev. William B. Harnish. Burial: Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home after noon Friday at the Chapel of Memories after 9 a.m. Saturday. Friends may, if they wish, donate to the American Cancer Society. The casket will be closed prior to the service.
