Pallbearers were- Hardy Broome, Eugene Broome, Lamar Patterson, William Ward, Cicero Dudley and Ruben Bryant.

Hulett Funeral home in Hattiesburg, MS in charge. His body was taken to the home of his daughter Cora Mae Gardner for visitation and then transported by the funeral home to Union Church in Lincoln County, MS for burial by his first wife Rose Etta Bush Townsend.

@the time of his death he had a total of 21 Grandchildren and 28 great- grandchildren.
