Irma Lee Abbott, 70, of Brookings, S.D., died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at the Brookings Health System after an illness.
Mrs. Abbott was born Nov. 25, 1937, in Miami to Frank B. and Lucille (Collins) Adams.
She moved to South Dakota in 2001.
She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church and was a cook at Rancho Restaurant in Commerce.
She was married to Dwight Abbott. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Harold Gene Abbott of Bentonville, Ark.; two daughters, Carolyn Navarre and Julia Diane Pewo; one sister, Mary Ellen of Locust Grove, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were 2 p.m. Tuesday at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.
Carl Greenfeather and Josh Bear officiated.
Pallbearers were Derek Moe Sr., Joseph Rowe Pewo III, Anthony James Pewo, Joshua Bear, Stetson Hart and Carl Greenfeather.
Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Commerce.
