MRS. WILLIAM BURTON DIED AT AGE OF 82
SCHOHARIE - Private funeral services for Mrs. William Burton, 82, were held Wednesday afternoon from the Warner funeral home. Rev. Walter B. Jerge, pastor of Community church, officiated and burial was in the Old Stone Fort Cemetery.
Amanda Gertrude Cullings was born March 3, 1886, at Knox, the daughter of William Cullings and Mary Stevenson Cullings. Her entire life was spent in this area. On Dec. 13, 1888, she was married to William Burton, who survives. Also living are one daughter, Mrs. Jane G. Wilbur of Schoharie; two sons, William J. Burton of Altamont, and Perry Burton of Schoharie; two grandchildren, Robert and Linda Burton of Altamont; and a niece, Mrs. Fay Meade of Marshall, Minn.
Mrs. Burton was a member of the Community church of Schoharie and a charter member of the Schoharie Valley
