POLK CITY- Annie Marie Floyd, 73 of Polk City, FL died Tuesday, April 24, 2012. at her residence due to cancer. Born September 9, 1938. in Lithia, FL she moved to Polk City 40 years ago.
She was a member of New Life Community Church in Polk City and was a retired school bus driver for the Polk County School Board.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Floyd; a son, John W. Floyd; 4 brothers, Robert Sheffield, Johnny Sheffield, Preston Sheffield and Ralph "Mutt" Sheffield; and a sister, Stella Doerman.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda Frye and her husband Jim and Joan Beckham and her husband Brian; a brother, Herbert Sheffield and his wife Louise; 2 sisters, Mary Williams and Evelyn "Dean" Hall ; 11 grandchildren, Dustin and his wife Anna, Brittany, Kaley, Bethany, Rodney, Jackie, Jacian, Haley,Kendall, Jonathan and Destiny; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kyra, Emma and Hahli.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 27, 2012, in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Marie grew up in Lithia, Fl. and graduated from Pinecrest High School
