Wayne Mooney, 68 of Fremont, died early Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at his home. He was born on June 28, 1939 in Tiffin, OH to the now deceased Kenneth H. and Mary Isabel (Boroff) Mooney. Wayne was a 1957 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He was an EMT for 40 years and a vending attendant for AVI at Fremont Plastics. Wayne worked for Krogers, Carbo Tool & Die, Roosen EMS, Fiser EMS, Goebels EMS, and Stofcheck EMS. During the summertime he also worked at Nickels Bakery. On June 27, 1959, he married Janice Binder at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Fremont and she survives. Wayne was a loving husband, father & grandfather and he enjoyed camping.


Also surviving are his children, David (Terri) Mooney of Fremont and Sherry Myers of Clyde, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Joyce) Mooney, Larry (Ann) Mooney; sister, Linda Overmyer all of Fremont. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, William.


Visitation will be on Thursday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.


Memorials may be made to the family and Hospice of Memorial Hospital in Waynes memory.
