Found in The State 09 October 1930: Newberry, Oct. 8.-Mrs. Alice Epting Fulmer, 76, widow of W. W. Fulmer, died today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. B. Wells, after an illness of two weeks. Funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from St. Paul's Lutheran church in Columbia, conducted by the Rev. H. A. McCullough. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery. Mrs. Fulmer lived in Columbia until the death of her husband last June. In early girlhood she united with St. John's Lutheran church, near Hope Station, Newberry county, and at her death was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, having removed to Columbia with her husband more than 30 years ago. Mrs. Fulmer possessed many beautiful traits of Christian womanhood and besides her own family and relatives leaves many friends who are grieved at her death. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Rufus W. Hutchinson of Easley, Mrs. H. B. Wells of Newberry, Dr. W. E. Fulmer, W. A. Fulmer and B. A. Fulmer of Columbia, and O. F. Fulmer of Savannah. A brother, Warren T. Epting also survives, besides 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
