Janet A. Anker, 61, of Rockford, died at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1998, in OSF Saint Joseph Hospital, Belvidere, after a brief illness. Born Mary 17, 1937, in Chicago, the daughter of Richard and Sophie Graczyk Abel. Lived 32 years in Rockford. Employed as executive legal assistant for Sundstrand Corp. Survivors include four children, Ellyn (Terry) Foster of Rockford, Pamela (Kevin) Gramling of Aubun, Ind., and twins, Lisa (Don Heslop) Anker of Rockford and William Anker of Brodhead, Wis.; grandchildren, Torie Bonsack and Ross Gramling, both of Auburn, and Stacy Heslop of Rockford; and sister, Donna Middleton of East Dundee. Predeceased by parents; and twin brother, James Abel.
Visitation 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 19, in Sunset Funeral home, 8800 N. Alpine Road. Services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, in Skyline Memorial Park Chapel, Monee Ill. Burial will be in Skyline Memorial Park Cemetery 5-15-2
