Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Gilley, 75, of Bassett, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
She was born in Roanoke on March 22, 1937, to Garnett and Beulah Johnson Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Foley; a granddaughter, Candace Clark; and grandson, Michael Foley.
She was a member of Smith River Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are her husband, Danny Gilley of the home; three sons, Mike Foley of Bassett, and William Gilley and Steven Gilley, both stationed with the Army at Fort Wainwright, Alaska; one daughter, Donna Foley Clark of Bassett; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
