Kansas City, Missouri, January 9 - James Hunter, a prosperous farmer who resided a short distance south of Grain Valley, was struck by an engine on the Chicago & Alton Railway track at 9:30 o'clock last night and instantly killed. The accident occurred one-half mile east of Grain Valley, which is a small town in the county ten miles east of Independence on the Chicago & Alton Railway.
