Carolyn K. White, 65, of Virden died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 10, 1941, in Detroit, the daughter of Edward and Dorothy Steward Whitley. She married Lowell E. "Pete" White in 1958 in Virden.
Mrs. White graduated from Carlinville High School in 1958. She was a homemaker and an EMTI with Sangamac Ambulance Service in Virden for more than four years. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors: husband, Lowell; six sons, Ed White of Virden, Douglas White of Thayer, Mark (wife, Annette) White of Farmersville, Phillip Gordon (wife, Lacey) and Joseph Gordon White, both of Springfield, and Derrick L. White of Gillespie; three daughters, Krista White-Hunter of Thayer and Nellie White-Allgood and Missy White-Lake, both of Girard; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (wife, Delores) Whitley of Standard City and David (wife, Sue) Whitley of Nilwood; and five nieces.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Calvert and Ferry Funeral Home, Virden, the Rev. Joe Herrod officiating. Burial: Virden Cemetery.
