Huber - William C. Huber, 86, of Powhattan died at the Holton hospital at 9 o'clock Thursday night, March 3, 1960, after an illness of a few days. Mr. Huber entered the hospital last Sunday. He was a retired section foreman for the Rock Island Railroad and he had made his home at Powhattan for 43 years. Mr. Huber is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. E. J. Weber of Boone, IA., Mrs. Fred King of Omaha, and Mrs. Francis Butrick of Highland; three sons, William H. Huber of Hamlin, Kenneth Huber of Sabetha and Lester Huber of Hiawatha; a sister, Mrs. Rose Bassett of Claremore, Okla; a number of grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Meek's chapel at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, March 6, with interment at the Hiawatha cemetery.
