Adam Daniel Metz II, Esq., died suddenly on April 23. Dan was born in Huntington, WV, and held degrees from Marshall University and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He was a Worker's Compensation attorney with IWIF and, more recently, Baltimore County. He served his country as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He was a Major in The Maryland Defense Force. He is survived by his wife, Kathie; his son Michael J. and wife Amy S. Metz; his daughter Amy and her husband William J. Voytek; his son Joseph D. and his wife Carrie McCully Metz; grandchildren Emily Anne, John Lloyd, and Charles Adam Metz; granddaughter-in-law Courtney Elizabeth Voytek; his father, Clifford E. Metz; his brother Timothy H. and his wife Darla Metz; and several nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation with the family will be held at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 Padonia Rd., Lutherville, MD, 21093 on Friday, April 27th from 6:00-8:00 PM. A service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 28th at 3:00 PM at Towson United Methodist Church, 501 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD 21286, where he was a member and sang in the Chancel Choir. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maryland National Guard Foundation, Emergency Relief Fund, 5th Regiment Armory, Baltimore, MD, 21201, or for the benefit of animals at the Baltimore County Animal Control, 13200 Manor Rd., Baldwin, MD 21031.
