There are two different spellings of Samuel's middle name. Since his obit, his tombstone, and one census record has the spelling as Tilden. That is the name that will remain on his memorial. The other spelling is Tilton.

Accidently Killed.
Mr. T. Thrasher was accidently killed by a fall of rock last Wednesday afternoon while working in old No. 3 mine.
Mr. Thrasher belonged to one of the oldest families in the county, and is survived by his wife and one son.
Interment will take place at Mt. Carmel cemetery the (Thursday) afternoon.
The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
