Marie Mason, 65, of Albion passed away at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, December 27, 1981 at the Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

She had suffered from cancer for the past several months.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 29 at the First Baptist Church in Albion with Rev. Everett Leemay officiating and burial in Graceland Cemetery. Nale's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Surviving her are one son, Gene Mason of Allentown, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. Mike (Tonya) Hilliard of Palm Bay, Fla.; 3 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mrs. Flossie Doty of Mt. Carmel; Mrs. Goldie Sperry of West Salem; Mrs. Mary Root of Bone Gap; Mrs. Bill (Bessie) Cowling and Mrs. Lee (Bettye) Murray of Albion; 4 brothers, Loy, Wilbur, Ira Jr. and Doyle Copley, all of Albion.

Born Sept. 25, 1916 in Edwards County, she was the daughter of Ira M. and Emma Crow Copley. She married Dale Mason in December of 1935 in Albion and he died September 5, 1964.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had worked for Wib's Supermarket in Albion for 28 years and had managed the bakery for the past 15 years.
