John v. McKinstry died on Sunday June 9, at his home in Gardiner, of pneumonia. Had he lived until August 23 he would have been 88 years old. Mr. McKinstry was a brother of the late Floyd S. McKinstry. For many years he taught school in the West and afterward settled in Gardiner on the original Jacobus Bruyn homestead property, where he engaged in farming. Mr. McKinstry never married. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gardiner Reformed Church, the services being conducted by the Rev. C. E. Lasher. The interment was in New Paltz cemetery.
