Ole Eriksen and his wife, Ingeborg Olsdatter (Bolken) had seven children, Ingeborg being the second oldest. She was born August 20, 1857 on the Dæhlin farm in Lunner. This farm was a large and profitable business in the Lunner area. Michael Jensen, from the tiny Vølla farm, worked for Ingeborg's father and was treated almost as a son. One story handed down through the family indicates that although Ingeborg was a very pretty young woman, she had had either an accident or disease that resulted in a significantly handicapped leg. According to Ida, her daughter, Ingeborg's parents were not opposed to Michael marrying her, perhaps because this handicap would make it more difficult to arrange a more acceptable union. They even had allowed the couple to become secretly engaged in Norway. Another story indicated that Ingeborg's siblings were the ones who were very opposed to the blossoming relationship between Michael and Ingeborg and because of their opposition, Michael left Norway to come to America and prove that he could take care of Ingeborg.

Michael left Norway in 1879 and sent for Ingeborg two years later. She arrived, accompanied by three of Michael's siblings. Michael and Ingeborg were married right away, although the marriage date handed down in the family, February 18, 1881, actually predates Ingeborg's arrival in America. After their marriage they settled on a farm in Lafayette County in the Township of Woodford and welcomed ten children into their family, only one of whom died in early childhood. Her beloved Michael preceded her in death, February 2, 1940. Ingeborg died February 9, 1943 and was buried February 13 in the cemetery of East Wiota Lutheran, the church she was so faithful to throughout her Wisconsin life.

Ingeborg had three brothers that also immigrated to America:
Ole Dahlin
Henry Daehlin
Ingvald Daehlin
