Luke Looker was born Dec. 6, 1846 at Kenton, Ohio. In 1866 he entered into marriage with Louisa Peters. Eight children were born to this union of which three preceded the father into the Great Beyond.
In 1876 Mr. Looker moved with his family to Three Oaks Mich., where he has since made his home. Six years ago death entered into his home and claimed his wife.
Mr. Looker has been in poor health for some time, and on April 3rd, he was called by his Creator into a better land . He thus reached the age of 79 years, 3, months, and 27 days.
He leaves to mourn his loss 4 daughters Mrs. Nellie Dorman of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Edith Day of Indian River, Mich.; Mrs. Rachel Shemely of Napoleon, Ind.; Mrs. Ethel Seid of Three Oaks, Mich.; and one son, Mr. Wm. Looker of Chicago , Ill. 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and one brother John Looker of Rushaylvania, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. Looker's daughter, Mrs. George Seid, Monday, April 5th, Rev L. Kling officiating. Mrs. Ann Scheeley and Mrs. Helen Drier sang appropriate songs.
