Dora May (Dollie) Dickerman, daughter of James P. and Minnie Alice Cardwell was born July 12, 1889 near Scandia and died May 28, 1972 at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage March 7, 1906 to Amos Dickerman and she and husband were engaged in farming until 1942. Mrs. Dickerman was postmistress at Rydal for 13 years and she and her husband moved to Belleville when they retired. She was a member of the Central Christian church in Belleville. Preceding her in death were her husband, mother, father, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Martha Faye Snyder of Belleville and one brother Leslie Cardwell and wife of Port Oxford, Ore. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 31, at Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Memorial Chapel, Belleville, conducted by Rev. Maurice Graham. Interment was made in Belleville cemetery.
