HILL, WAYNE ELDREDGE - Of Jackson, went home to be with the Lord at home, Wednesday, December 24, 2008, age 74 years. He was the son of Orley and Frances Hill born June 19, 1934 in Hickory, North Carolina. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marilyn Hill; two sons, Jeffrey (Patricia) Hill and Richard (Karen) Hill; eight grandchildren; sister; Marequeta (John) Hassler; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by two sons, James L. and Timothy W. Hill; his parents; brother, Orley Hill Jr. Wayne retired from Sheet Metal Workers Local 7, which he dearly enjoyed after 40 years of service, he and Marilyn had their own collectibles and antique business which took them all over the world for over 25 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as trustee, financial committee, resale shop, and many other volunteer positions. He and Marilyn enjoyed cruising, river boating, and playing bridge at their bridge clubs. Mr. Hill is at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1508 Greenwood Ave. Jackson, where a celebration of his life will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., Reverend Melodye Surgeon-Rider officiating. According to his wishes, cremation will follow. Private family interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church.
