Dorris L. (Strong) Groshong, 78, St. Joseph, died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at a St. Joseph Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Groshong was a sales clerk at the former St. Joseph Trunk Co., in St. Joseph until retiring.
Born in Troy, Kansas on June 29, 1921, she lived in Wathena, Kan., where she attended high school. She moved to St. Joseph in 1955.
Mrs. Groshong was a member of the South Park United Methodist Church in St. Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah N. and Elizabeth Strong; and a sister, Lucille Salter.
Surviving: her husband, Marion F. Groshong of the home; two sons, Russell Euler, Maryville, Mo., and Steven Groshng, Stewartsville, Mo.; two daughters, Linda M. Duncan and Sandra Euler, both of St. Joseph; a sister, Rosalie Goodpasture, Downers Grove, Ill.; and six grandchildren. There will be a private family service and inurnment. The body has been cremated. Arrangements were by the Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service in St. Joseph.
