Born in El Reno, Canadian Co., Oklahoma to John William & Ada Alice Thomas Crist, he left the oil fields of Tulsa he and Edna migrated to California in the late 20's, initially living in South Gate, Ca. Claude Richard Crist built the family home in North Hollywood, Ca. He enlisted in the US Navy at age 42 to serve his country during WWII in the invasion of Italy. Claude worked for 30 plus years for Universal International Movie Studios as an electrician. Husband to Edna May Smith Crist and father to Violet May Crist and Jack Richard Crist I (killed in WWII). Grandfather to Jack Richard Crist II and Regis Michael Dunn.
