Charles B. Dickison was killed in action on 2 Aug 1864 at Nine Mile Swamp near Palatka,Fl while under his father's (Capt JJ Dickison- The Swamp Fox 2nd FL Cavalry) command.
Sgt Dickison's VA headstone cermony was conducted on 28 April 2012. The cermony was hosted and all honors rendered by the following, 5th Brigade Commander Bryon Peavy St. Johns Rangers Camp 1360, Adjutant Jim Davis, General William Wing Loring Camp 1316 and Commander Calvin Hart, Kirby-Smith Camp 1209 Florida Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans and which consisted of supporting groups as the Order of the Comfederate Rose Chapter 10 and the United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapters 2232, 2311, and 2420.
