Helen Vann Walters Haslett, 91, passed away April 28, 2012. A native of Whaleyville, Virginia, she was predeceased by her parents Erna Mae and Seba Robert Walters; her husband Guy Haslett; brothers William S. Walters, Robert C. Walters, Seth T. Walters and Frank H. Walters.

She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church, West Memorial Bible Class, Senior Fellowship of Suffolk Christian Church, Women's Fellowship and retired secretary with the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Mrs. Haslett is survived by her daughter Nancy H. Pichel (Marcy) of Suffolk; son Hunter W. Haslett of Isle of Wight County; two grandchildren Ann P. Shield (Jamie) and Frank H. Pichel (Hedwig); one great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service was held Monday, April 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 West Washington Street, Suffolk, VA 23434 by Rev. Michael D. Halley with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The family requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church, P O Box 1457, Suffolk, VA 23439. Online condolences may be made at www.rwbakerfh.com.
