Daughter of Richard A. Arrendale and Mary Polly Blackwell. Mary Ann(Arrendale)Arnold Tate was the Wife of Isham Tate, both were from Spartanburg County, South Carolina,USA.

They were Married in Pickens County Alabama in 1833, in this union there were 10 children, two born in Pickens County Alabama Joel B Tate and David C. Tate. They moved to Washington County Texas in 1837 where Isom or Isham and Ann were given a Headright Land Certificate of 640 Acres after being in Texas for one year.

They eventually sold off this land little by little, and settled in Lavaca County Texas, where the Tate Ranch is today 173 years later.
