Dale Barnett, 76, Minot, ND, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in his home.

Dale Mervin Barnett was born April 10, 1936, the son of Mose and Mildred (Marum) Barnett near Donnybrook, ND. He was educated in Berthold and Minot.

Dale worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad before moving to Idaho, where he worked for a mining company. He later moved to Monroe, Washington, where he worked as a farmhand. In the early 1980's, he moved back to North Dakota to live with and care for his mother. He assisted her until 1993, when she moved into a nursing home in New Town, ND. In 1995, he moved to Minot, residing in the Henry Towers until the time of his death.

Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, and an occasional trip to the casino.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Paul Haider; brother, Edwin; brother-in-law, Alvin Neether; and sister-in-law, Mary Barnett.

At Dale's request, there will be no reviewal, or formal services in Minot.

A private family Memorial Service will take place in Washington at a later date.

Interment: A private family interment will take place at Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold, ND.
