Lydia Adams Green married William Farrar on November 27, 1845. She was 34 years of age at the time of her marriage. Lydia was the daughter of Isaiah and Hannah Green.

Mrs. Lydia Adams Green Farrar and Miss Hannah L.C. Green are the donors of the "Goddess of Liberty" monument to honor Civil War Veterans of the town of Carlisle. The monument, dedicated to those who served in the years of "1861-1865" was presented by Mrs. William (Lydia A.G.) Farrar and Miss Hannah L.C. Green for dedication in 1885. The monument is located in The Green Cemetary.
An annual Memorial Service is held at Green Cemetary to honor Veterans who have served our nation from Revolutionary War times through the present.
