Larry Emil Argento died Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Billings Clinic. He was 68.

Larry was born May 21, 1943 in Powell to Margaret Moore and Emil Arthur Argento. He graduated from Powell High School and was a PHS state wrestling champion his junior year. Larry received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wyoming and taught in Sterling, Colo., and Lusk, Wyo., where he was a coach as well as a teacher. He later worked in Fairbanks, Alaska, and moved back to Powell in 1975 where he worked for Roberts Construction, Shoshone Irrigation District and Northwest College. He retired from NWC after 15 years.

Larry married Nancy Beier in 1961 in Powell. After Nancy's death, he and Jo Ellen (Lee) Christiansen were married in 2004 in Powell. He was a woodworker and inventor and received a patent in 2011. He enjoyed four-wheeling, camping and following all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews in their sporting events. His love of basketball spanned 50 years. He belonged to the Elks and Eagles clubs, and was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Nancy, in July of 1997.

He is survived by his wife Jo Ellen of Powell; sons Scott (Schelley) Argento of Powell, Brad Christiansen (Bel) of Gillette; daughters Traci Metzler of Powell, Krista (Jeremy) Foster of Gillette, Bre Christiansen of Buffalo; brothers Clair (JaNiece) Argento of Apache Junction, Ariz., Russell Miller of Powell, and sisters Sharon (Phil) Feazel of Huntington Beach, Calif., Joyce Pike of Laurel, Mont., Janice (Roger) Beslanowich of Powell, Kathy (Ed) Hake of Big Sky, Mont. and eight grandchildren: Brad (Stephanie) Metzler, Tabitha Metzler, Drewe Metzler, Benjamin Argento, Madeline Argento, Kyler Green, Cobi McCoy and Tayvin Christiansen and Chad Wilson, who was like another son.

A celebration of life and potluck dinner will be held the Eagles Club at 5 p.m. Friday, July 15. Contributions may be made to the NWC Trapper Booster Club in Larry's name.
