Thelma Maxine Bailey, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 6, 2004 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born in Oklahoma City on March 23, 1928 to William Edward and Erca Irene (Jay) Garmon.
She married the love of her life Donald Eugene Bailey on December 16, 1943 in Oklahoma City. They were happily married for nearly 61 years. To this blessed union, 17 children were born.
Thelma enjoyed singing, tending to her flowers and fishing. She had an endless love for babies, but her true passion was spending time with her family and living for the Lord. She was a true Christian woman in every way. Thelma was baptized in 1946 at Belle Isle Lake in Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Faith.
She is survived by her husband, 14 children, 51 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 12 step- grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her father, a sister, 3 brothers, 1 aunt and numerous nieces & nephews.
Her sons Ronnie, Lonnie & Rodger met her at the gates of Heaven with open arms. Her mother, sisters: Wanda & Joann; brothers: Dennis Eugene & Dale Ray; daughter-in-law Terri and 4 grandchildren also preceded her in death.
Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
