Katheryn K. Bongers
Services for Kathryn Keeler Bongers, 79, of 2715 Mondamin Ave., will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church, with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p..m. Monday at the Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bongers, who died Thursday at Mercy Hospital following a heart attack, was a native of Des Moines and was a former clerk at Wolf's clothing store. She was a member of St. John's Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters, the Dowling Club and Guild, and the Rainbow Division Auxillary.
Survivors include a son, Dr Leo Bongers of Hanover, Kan., three daughters, Mary Dearing of Leucadia, Calif., and Mary K. Tenborg and Margaret A. Senn, both of Des Moines; a sister, Sister Mary Carlos Keeler, of Clinton, 24 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
