Mary Oretha Roundtree
Mary Oretha Roundtree, 92, of Greenville, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Legend Health Care. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roundtree was born in Commerce, Texas on March 24, 1920. She was the daughter of George Anderson Weatherbee and Callie Jane McClendon Weatherbee. On September 5, 1942, she married Luie Vernon Roundtree in the Ridgeway community. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cumby and a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Cumby.
Mrs. Roundtree is survived by her daughters, Brenda Carver and husband, Wendell of Wolfe City, Linda Carver and husband, Kenneth of Wolfe City, and Retha Cooke and husband, Jack of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Patsy Roundtree of Pittsburg, Texas; grandchildren, Tammy Roundtree, Terry Roundtree, Wendy White, Leigh Carver, Wayne Carver, Lori Mayfield, Jeannie Money, James Cooke and Nick Cooke; nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Larry Dale Roundtree; brothers, Claude Wayne "CW or Dub" Weatherbee, Eugene "Gene" Weatherbee and Jerry Don Weatherbee.
Pallbearers will be Gary Roundtree, John Paul Roundtree, Don Roundtree, Jim Roundtree, Garry Weatherbee, Larry Weatherbee and David Weatherbee.
The family requests memorials be made to Mount Carmel Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 95, Wolfe City, Texas 75496.
