Funeral services for Hannah Nielsen Faux, 95, of 677 E. 400 S., Provo, who died Sunday of causes incident to age in a Provo rest home, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Moroni East-West Ward Chapel with Bishop Kayle Morley officiating.
Mrs. Faux was born April 2, 1879 in Meiling, Denmark, to Soren R. and Caroline Nielsen. She married Joseph Faux on Nov. 1, 1897 in Moroni, and the marriage was soleminized later in the Manti LDS Temple. He died about 44 years ago.
Mrs. Faux came to the U.S. at the age of three with her parents, who settled in Moroni where she received her schooling.
She worked for several years in the North Sanpete School Lunch program. An expert seamstress, she sewed temple and burial clothes for many years.
She was a Relief Society visiting teacher for several years, and made many beautiful quilts and crocheted lace tablecloths.
Survivors include one son and four daughters, Joseph Elwood Faux, Mrs. Frank (Faith) Jensen and Mrs. Merrill (Romola) Cloward, all of Provo; Mrs. Jeff (Mary) Olsen, Moroni, and Mrs. A. Reed (Ada) Collard, Fountain Green; 15 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; five great - great - grandchildren, and a half-sister, Mrs. Ethel Beesley, Chicago.
Friends may call at the chapel in Moroni one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Moroni City Cemetery under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. Utah
