My Grandmother was born on July 21, 1902 in Savoy, Texas to William Herman Cummings and Mary Eva Magers-Cummings of Fannin Co. TX. My Grandmother was 78 at the time of her death. She died on Monday June 15,1981 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas . Services were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, TX. The Rev. Don Christian of Trinity Baptist Church which my grandmother was a member of . Her husband ,Eldon Melvin Miles died on July 2,1980, she was also prececded in death by her youngest son; Bobby Lee Miles. Survivors include a son, George Miles of Fort Worth;Four daughters,Mrs Mary Helen Berry and Mrs Cecil Marie,Mrs Katherine Stroud of Levelland, TX.,and Wynell Thomas.
Her brothers; Joe HowardCummings;Denzle Cummings;Billy Ray (Rooster)Cummings of Lovington, New Mexico; Four sister Marie Green of Bonham,Clara May Rogers
Carsbad New Mexico;
Cloyce "Cummings" Briggs
of Greenville,and Hazel Browning. She Leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren
