BROWN SUMMIT— Mrs. Frances Kernodle Norris, 76, of 7635 NC Hwy. 61 North, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
The funeral was held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Apple's Chapel Christian Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
A native of Guilford County, Mrs. Norris was born on Feb. 25, 1928, to the late William Clarence and Lillie Eva Brown Kernodle. She was a member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church and was a substitute teacher for Guilford County Schools for 10 years. She retired from Sears after 34 years of service.
Survivors are husband Herbert G. Norris of the home, daughters, Donna Chappell and husband Bobby of Gibsonville and Sandy Norris of Greensboro.
The family received friends at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service and other times at the home of Donna Chappell, 6811 Tickle Road, Gibsonville.
